The interior has been thoughtfully renovated so it combines rustic charm with simple contemporary elegance. The layout is open-plan, spacious, light and airy.
The ground floor is comfortably and tastefully furnished. It has original exposed beams and a lovely cool floor made of beautiful reclaimed tiles .
SITTING ROOM
Large sitting room with a woodburning stove, flat-screen TV and all UK channels via Satellite, speaker bar, BluRay DVD and seating for seven. Though most guests spend their evenings outdoors, on cooler evenings and in the low season, the sitting room offers a cosy interior.
Kitchen area
Large, very fully equipped and re-fitted in January 2025, it now has a built-in microwave, an eye-level fan oven and a wipe-clean induction hob. There is a dishwasher, small fridge, espresso coffee machine, toaster and electric kettle. Crockery, cutlery, pots and pans and everything needed by a keen cook (like decent sharp knives) are all in place.
BREAKFAST ROOM
An adjoining space to the fitted kitchen, this informal eating area is also great for preparing a salad, dessert or drinks. With a large stainless steel fridge freezer and generous breakfast bar it's ideal for lunch, chatting to the chef or the eponymous breakfast!
dining ROOM
Adjacent to the Kitchen Area, a large round table seats up to nine people. The sideboard has napkins, table cloths and all you might need for indoor dining.
Bedroom 1 with en-suite wc
This spacious double bedroom has a Queen-size 160cm bed as standard, but can be configured with twin beds as in the photos above. The en-suite WC is up the four steps on the left of both photos.

bedroom 2 with shower & WC
This good-sized double bedroom has a Queen-sized 160cm bed and compact shower room, with wall-hung WC and washbasin. This bedroom is immediatley next to Bedroom 1 - handy if you are parents with 2 young kids.
bedroom 3 with double & single beds
With a double 140cm bed and a single bed, this good-sized bedroom is ideal for kids or friends who don't share a bed! It is reached by its own staircase.
family bathroom
On the ground floor, it is equipped with an elegant roll-top bath, large separate shower, washbasin, heated towel rack and underfloor heating. There is also a separate, wall-hung WC adjacent to this bathroom with a separate handbasin just outside.
The washing machine is situated in a separate utility room that also houses the oil central heating boiler, drying rack, iron and ironing board. There are also outdoor washing lines.

GETTING HERE
- 15 minutes drive North East from Orange and the A7 motorway.
- Avignon TGV train station (direct connections from London) is 40 minutes drive away. Paris is less than 3 hours away by train (TGV)
- Marseille airport is a little over an hour away with a large choice of flights.
pets, children & access
This is a pet and child friendly house. Unlike most rentals in this area, we have an entirely closed garden. Pets are welcome - please mention them also when you book. The ground floor has a 20cm step between the original part of the house and the rest. With staircases to the bedrooms it is perhaps not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
