THINGS TO DO
EATING OUT - LUNCH DEALS (IN ORDER OF FAVOURITES)
Hotel Montmirail - lovely light 3 course lunch. Beautiful garden terrace and perfect service. Tell Marc and Thomas we sent you. You drive thriugh Vacqueyras to get here.
La Fleur Bleue - cheap and cheerful 3 course lunch, cute terrace. Fiejette is the Mistress of shabby chic, gorgeous decor - one of the few places that is just as nice in the evening and indoors. Perfect for cooler early/late season with open fireplace. Tell her we sent you.
La Mirande in Avignon - MIchelin Starred - but has a bistro lunch deal that is excellent value and exceptional cuisine.
Lots of restaurants in Vaison-la-romaine - we like Chez Fred.
WINE TASTING 'DOMAINES'
Next door neighbour Berthet Rayne has a great repuation and even a new bubbly! Tell Alexandra we sent you - absolutely worth the 2 minute walk over there.
Le Caveau de Cairanne - gorgeous shop - lots of choice, Edwin who owns it is Dutch.
Rabasse Charavin - we practically live on their bag-in-box Rasteau, which we prefer to their Cairanne. For something special we love their Cuvée Estevenas. The family Couturier are so friendly and even adopted a dog we rescued! Otis.
Rasteau Cooperative is on the way to Vaison, open on Sunday and has great gifts and good basic rosé.
