Location
Cairanne is an ancient, hilltop village dating from early medieval times. The house is just 2 minutes by car from the village centre with its bakery, general store, an upmarket takeaway and restaurant. Just 5 minutes further is lovely Sainte-Cécile-les-Vignes with a fabulous mid-sized supermarket with everything you need. The nearest big town is Vaison - just 15 minutes drive away.

What makes it special
This is not just any holiday rental. We live in this house for a good part of the year, so every detail has been carefully considered. Our aim - that your holiday will be one never to forget - so that you can't wait to come back!
Provence has beautiful light and blue skies which attracted painters like Van Gogh. It is easily reached by car or train and by air from Marseille, Avignon or Paris.
Things to do
Once you've unwound by the pool, you can explore nearby Vaison la Romaine (pictured above). A bustling and beautiful town set around extensive Roman remains. The Mont Ventoux is nearby for avid cyclists. Avignon, the former seat of the Popes is a walled city, with a large palace. Other nearby destinations include Aix-en-Provence, Les Baux de Provence, Saint Remy and Le Gorge de l'Ardeche.

GETTING HERE

- Marseille airport is a little over an hour away with a large choice of flights.
pets, children & access
This is a pet and child friendly house. Unlike most rentals in this area, we have an entirely closed garden. Pets are welcome - please mention them also when you book. The ground floor has a 20cm step between the original part of the house and the rest. With staircases to the bedrooms it is perhaps not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
